Learn moreBariatric Care Center is a general and bariatric surgery practice in Tijuana's Zona Río. It brings together two surgeons, Dr. Ari Salgado and Dr. Martín Orduño, who share one way of working: a clear diagnosis, minimally invasive surgery whenever it is the best option and close follow-up.
Most people who come to us have tried for years to lose weight. Others arrive with gallbladder attacks, a hernia or reflux that no longer responds to medication. In every case the work starts with listening, and it ends only when you understand what you have and what your options are.

Before you decide, meet the people who will operate on you: their training, their licenses and the professional bodies they belong to.

In general, adults with a BMI of 40 or higher, or 35 or higher with conditions related to obesity such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnea. Some people with a BMI between 30 and 35 are also candidates. It is confirmed at your evaluation.
Safety depends on who operates and where. Here you know both surgeons by name, with their training and licenses, and surgery takes place in a hospital with intensive care, laboratory and imaging on site.
Patients traveling from the US usually plan four days: arrival, pre-op tests, surgery with a hospital night, and discharge after the surgeon's review.
For US patients: ground transportation from and to San Diego airport, hotel, hospital, surgeon and team fees, pre-op tests, nutrition guidance, post-op medication and follow-up. Airfare is not included.
It depends on the procedure and your BMI. You receive a detailed quote in writing before you commit to anything. The clinic's published prices in Mexican pesos are on the packages page.
