How we handle the personal and health information you share with us.

Who we are

Bariatric Care Center, located at Blue Tower Hospital, Vía Oriente 9750, Zona Urbana Río Tijuana, 22010 Tijuana, B.C., is responsible for the personal data you provide, in accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

Data we collect

  • Identification and contact data: name, phone, email and city.
  • Sensitive health data: height, weight, medical history, symptoms and studies you share with us for your medical care.

The website questionnaire asks for your contact details and the basic health information (height, weight, conditions, surgeries and medications) the surgeon needs for a first assessment. Please do not send test results or medical records through it. The BMI calculator runs in your browser: it does not store or send what you type into it.

How we use it

  • To contact you, schedule your evaluation and follow up with you.
  • To create and keep your medical record, as required by Mexican standard NOM-004-SSA3-2012.
  • To coordinate your transportation, hotel and hospital stay when you book a package.
  • To issue invoices when you request them.

We do not use your data for advertising without your consent and we do not sell it to third parties.

Who we share it with

Only with those involved in your care (hospital, laboratory, anesthesiology, internal medicine, nutrition, pathology, transportation and hotel) or with authorities when the law requires it. Any other transfer requires your consent.

Retention

Medical records are kept for a minimum of five years from the last medical act, as the standard requires.

Your rights

You may access, correct or cancel your data, object to its processing and withdraw your consent by writing to info@bariatriccarecenter.mx. Include your full name, the right you wish to exercise and a way to reach you. We will reply within 20 business days.

Website

This site does not use advertising cookies. The form includes technical measures against automated submissions that do not identify you personally.
